As we prepare to find out the results of the midterm elections in the United States on Nov.8, 2022, RILA looked into the online conversation from November 1st – 7th, 2022 to find out what matters the most to voters.
OVER 2.8M MENTIONS IN LESS THAN A WEEK
The 2022 U.S. elections garnered a staggering volume of mentions in just 7 days with 71.4 trillion impressions of all digital discussions online.
The TikTok account of “Now This Politics” had the highest engagement per mention. With over 1.2 million engagements in 3 total posts, this account had a total potential reach of 8.7 million, making it the highest-ranked.
NEVADA VOTERS CARE ABOUT SOCIAL JUSTICE AND PRO-LIFE TOPICS
Our research identified that voters in the swing state of Nevada identified themselves as a supporter of social justice as hashtags such as #BlackLivesMatter and #MeToo emerged in the discussions. Pro-life hashtags and discussions accounted for 12% of the voters’ responses online.
